The Secluded Honeymoon
Traditionally the honeymoon period is all about getting away from the daily routine with the one you love and having some quality time together. It’s also about recovering from the hectic lead-up to the wedding after months of meticulous planning finally culminating in that one perfect day! And really, would there be anywhere better to spend some one-on-one time with the love of your life than in the Seychelles’ tropical and perfect year-round temperature, surrounded by warm azure ocean and powdery sandy beaches?
Whilst there are many fabulous adjectives to describe the Seychelles, “romantic” is definitely one of the very first words that come to mind when you see it for yourself.
It was rumoured to be the Lost Garden of Eden, and whilst that theory has never born fruit, it could still be a very cosy hideaway for two if you know where to stay.

Day One:
Arrive at Victoria Airport, Mahé.
Transfer to Maia, a beautiful and exclusive resort on the slopes of the granitic hills of Mahé. You will be staying here for four nights. Sumptuous elegance is at the order of the day at Maia, and you will be blown away by the views over the Indian Ocean below whilst frolicking in your private pool.
Your Ocean Panoramic Villa also has its own 24 hour butler who will do all of your menu planning for you during your stay whilst still ensuring your privacy at all times.
Your 20 minute jetlag massage per person on arrival, followed by a bottle of bubbly in your villa, will leave you feeling refreshed and put you in the right frame of mind to fully enjoy the tranquillity that Maia exudes.
Your stay at Maia includes the following:

- 20 minute jetlag massage per person on arrival.

- One private cooking class followed by lunch in the privacy of your villa.
- One 75 minute Dancing Fingers Massage per person per stay.
-
Day Two to Three:
Spend your days snorkelling or kayaking, attending one of the yoga or Qi Gong classes, eating the amazing local seafood and enjoying one of their soul-soothing spa treatments in the outdoor pavilions (you have a 75 minute Dancing Fingers Massage included in your package).
Wander off to the dive centre to start your introductory dive course and explore the magical underwater world of the Seychelles, and make arrangements with your butler for your private cooking class, followed by lunch in your villa.
If none of that appeals, why not laze around either your private pool or the beach whilst gazing into your new spouse’s eyes and enjoying some tropical cocktails?
-
Day Four:
Pack your bags for an afternoon flight to Enchanted Island! As part of the outer islands, Enchanted Island is one of the most remote luxury destinations in the Seychelles, and all the more spectacular for it. Your 5 night stay in a Luxury Beach Suite will not only ensure your utmost comfort with an exceedingly romantic atmosphere, but you could easily feel like you are the only two people on the island, with nobody else in sight when you step directly onto the beach in front of your suite.
Your stay at Enchanted Island includes the following:
- Three meals daily in the restaurant.
- Complimentary Wi-Fi.
- Return private boat transfer.
- Bottle of Champagne upon arrival and a welcome treat.
- Romantic 3 course a la carte menu for lunch.
- A one hour couple spa treatment per stay.
- Special memento from the resort on departure as a gift.
-
Day Five to Eight:
Time on this remote tropical island feels like it stands still, so spend your days lazily exploring the tiny island and its neighbours, having the most relaxing couple’s treatment in the beautiful spa, feeding the giant tortoises that roam around the island, and perhaps attending a yoga class.
-
Day Nine:
Time to move on! Catch your boat transfer to Mahé, to get a helicopter transfer to Frégate Island where you will be staying for your last five nights in a Private Pool Residence. Frégate Island Private is as magnificent as the previous two properties, yet very different. Completely committed to conservation, their efforts are shown through sensitively developed luxury accommodation that allows guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the island.
The island is home to approximately 2,000 free-roaming Giant Aldabra Tortoises, the nests of hundreds of endangered Hawksbill Turtles, as well as the Seychelles Magpie Robin, which has recently been removed from the endangered species list. Your welcome 55 minute head & shoulders massage will induce a state of tranquil relaxation – perfect for Frégate Island Private!

Ensure your honeymoon will never be forgotten, and ask the staff to arrange for you to spend your second day on this amazing island alone on a private beach, followed by a honeymoon High Tea on Glacis Cerf.
Your time is on your own on Frégate Island Private so spend your days going on a nature walk with one of the resident conservationists, biking around the island, sailing, surfing and kayaking.
Experience a night sky unlike any other with the Stargazing program, and allow the Rock Spa’s own range of products which are made in the Seychelles and grown on Frégate, to transport you into complete bliss when using your 60 minute Pomme d'Amour Spa couple ritual.
One of the best things about Frégate is that you can enjoy a meal anywhere, anytime on the island.
Make a point of enjoying your romantic candlelight dinner in the Treehouse, high up in the canopy of one of the oldest and largest banyan trees on the island, or to have the Frégate Passion Cocktail with canapés in the Love Nest!
