The mostly-granitic Inner Islands cluster mainly around the principal islands of Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, forming the cultural and economic hub of Seychelles. Together they are home to the majority of Seychelles’ accommodation facilities as well as almost the entire population of the archipelago. There are 43 Inner islands in total, 41 granitic and 2 coralline.

Out of these islands, 11 offer luxury accommodation, and we can put any combination of them together for you to create your own Inner Island Hopping Itinerary. We have not included the main islands of Mahe, Praslin or La Digue on this list, and have limited this list to single resort islands. Your options are as follow:

Cousine Island

Denis Private Island

Once a thriving coconut plantation, the rich vegetation of Denis Island is home to roaming giant tortoises and nesting sea birds.

Round Island

Just over 6 kilometres away from Port Victoria on Mahé and situated in the middle of the Sainte Anne Marine Park, is Round Island. North Island

North Island is a rare sanctuary for those seeking a gorgeous, unspoiled tropical haven. One of the Inner Islands of the Seychelles’ pristine archipelago, North Island is approximately 27 kilometres away from the main island of Mahé and is reachable by helicopter.

North Island and its close neighbour, Silhouette Island, are the only evidence of volcanic ash found above sea level in the Seychelles. The natural habitats of North Island are being rehabilitated and critically endangered fauna and flora are being reintroduced. The ambitious conservation project has succeeded in restoring the island to its former glory.

Hilton Labriz

This mountainous island with its dramatic scenery is the third largest granitic island in the Seychelles and lies 20 kilometres northwest of Mahé. Protecting over 92 percent of its landmass is Silhouette National Park whilst the surrounding waters have also been declared a Marine National Park.

Surrounded by coral barrier reefs, Silhouette is also home to Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa, the only resort on this magnificent island.
