The Toddler Trip
Travelling with little ones has its own unique challenges, especially once they start walking, allowing them to get into all kinds of new mischief! Not to worry… the Seychelles is an ideal destination to bring children along to, as there is no need to worry about extremely strange foods for their untested palates, there are no tropical diseases and also no dangerous animals to worry about. The only thing we do recommend is to bring ample mosquito repellent and sunscreen to cover the kids with. Both of the selected properties in this itinerary are extremely child-friendly, and will make your time in paradise truly a dream come true as every little detail is thought of. They both also offer opportunities for some couple-time, with either a fantastic kid’s club or babysitting on offer. So pack your bags and get ready for your island interlude, as travelling with the kids will be a breeze!

Day One:
Arrive at Victoria Airport, Mahé. Our partners will meet you on arrival to provide refresher towels and assistance with your luggage, so you can have both hands free for the little ones. They will assist you in connecting to your short flight to Denis Island. About 95 kilometres and after only 30 minutes you will arrive on the croissant-shaped jewel that is Denis Island, where you will be met by the Island Manager. Denis Island is the perfect hideaway. A private island of 375 acres with a distinctive character and charm, Denis Island offers warm, personalized service and attention to each guest. Where possible, the island prefers to be self-sufficient: all of the furniture and flooring is fashioned from timber from the island’s forest by carpenters at the island’s workshop; water is collected and desalinated from underground wells and supplemented by rain catchment reservoirs; and local food production is favoured. The estate operates its own farm, rearing poultry for meat and eggs and cattle for milk; all of which, along with produce from its fruit and vegetable and aromatic herb gardens, are destined for the hotel’s kitchen. Coconut oil production has been resumed in the old ‘calorifer’ and the cold- pressed natural oil is used by the hotel’s spa therapists for massage and wellness treatments.
A stay at Denis Island includes the following:
- Three meals daily: most nights guests are offered a 5 course menu, but this is interspersed with themed evenings such as Creole nights (including entertainment by local island dancers) or Japanese nights showcasing the Sushi Chef’s demonstration of live cooking using the freshest ingredients.
- Should your children have any dietary requirements, please do advise us and they will cater for you accordingly.
- House spirits, Local beers, House wines.

Day Two to Seven:
Enjoy discovering this magical utopia with your family. Denis Island provides an extraordinary and safe playground for exploration for children, and non-motorised water sports and ocean-based activities ensure that the younger ones can explore the wonders of the rich marine life around Denis with their parents’ guidance. Nature tours of the island includes a fascinating visit of the farm and an introduction to the local wildlife which, as it happens, isn’t that wild at all! These friendly walks around the island will often therefore result in a surprise encounter. Other activities include canoeing, swimming, fishing, board games, jogging and bird watching. On Denis, you can be assured that your kids will never have an uninteresting moment!

Upon arrival at Praslin Island, our representatives will again await you with a warm smile and helping hands, before whisking you off to Constance Lémuria Seychelles.
