BYCYCLE TOURS IN THE SEYCHELLES
Whilst it is not popular to cycle on Mahé due to the steep hills and traffic, cycling on La Digue and Praslin is a great way to explore the islands! Many of the private and resort islands also have bicycles and trails by which to explore them.
For beginners, La Digue is your best option, as the gradual hills are easier to handle and there are fewer vehicles (although you may share the winding roads with an ox cart!). The fit and confident will enjoy exploring the extended coastline on Praslin, with more hills and vehicles to contend with, it is sure to be exciting!Desroches Island also provides some exiting cycling routes through the virgin forest.
Do take into consideration that there are no bicycle lanes in the Seychelles, and this combined with the winding hills does make it worth your while going on a guided bicycle tour with someone who has some handy tips.
