Beaches in the Seychelles
Where time stands still
Perhaps one of the most iconic features of the Seychelles is the allure of its white-sand beaches. Matched with turquoise, crystal clear water, they most certainly draw the desires of visitors the world over.
And with Trip Advisor readers recently voting two Seychellois beaches into the Top 25 Beaches of the World, it is clear why many believe that the ‘Garden of Eden’ refers to the archipelago.

Snorkelling, kayaking, surfing, swimming or just sun-bathing; no matter your interests there is most certainly a beach for you!
Anse Lazio, located on the north-west corner of Praslin, with its white, powdery sand and azure waters, has been voted as the best beach in all of Africa. The sheltered cove provides fantastic snorkelling, whilst the nearby restaurants ensure that you can enjoy the whole day there. The palm lined beach is also perfectly situated to experience the full force of a Seychelles sunset.
-
Anse Source D’Argent on La Digue is also at the top of many lists, and when you’re there it’s clear why. The pink sand beaches which are ideal for sun-bathing are formed in crescents, separated by gigantic granite boulders and the surrounding reef provides for ample snorkelling opportunities.
Grand Anse on La Digue is well worth the bicycle ride to get there! Taking in the crystal-clear, turquoise water with the soft, white sand between your toes, there will be no doubt that you are in paradise. There is a small café nearby as well as a pathway leading to the neighbouring Petite Anse.
